A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

April 15

Harassing text messages: A report of unwanted/harassing text messages was made by a resident of the 200 block of Moreland Drive.

April 18

Tampering with evidence: Police arrested William Keck, 35, of Edwards Avenue, Canfield, on charges of tampering with evidence, obstructing official business and falsification. The original response to his home in February was for a male having a heart attack.

May 2

Warrant: Police arrested Allen Parker, 56, of Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, on a warrant out of Canfield Mayor’s Court for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Warrant: Police arrested Alicia Berquist, 20, of Girard, on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

May 4

Warrant: Police arrested James Snyder, 41, of Duck Creek Road, Berlin Center, on a warrant out of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office for criminal trespassing.

Drug abuse: Police arrested Devan McCallister, 20, of Charlton Drive, Lisbon, on charged of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

April 28

Theft: A pair of Jordan SC-3 shoes was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Criminal trespassing: Police arrested Melvin White, 52, of Bane Street, Warren, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Andrea Queen, 42, of Robert Frost Drive, Austintown, on a warrant for child endangering.

Warrant: Police arrested Lisa Shriner, 49, of South DeHoff Drive, on a warrant for assault and child endangering.

Auto theft: A 2008 Honda vehicle was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive, and later recovered at a crash scene. The driver fled.

April 29

Warrant: Police arrested Deanna Bland, 27, of North Main Street, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Theft: A television was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Brandomyne Avenue.

Theft: A Kindle was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of London Court.

Theft: Police arrested Anthony Seidita, 48, of South DeHoff Drive, on charges of theft and possession of criminal tools. He is accused of taking $149.85 worth of merchandise at Walmart.

Assault: An assault was reported at Pizza Hut,1705 S. Raccoon Road, and a male suspect was admitted to St. Elizabeth Health Center under a suicidal emergency admission.

Criminal damaging: A windshield was shattered at a home in the 100 block of Edgewater Drive.

April 30

Unauthorized use: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.

Theft: A laptop, GPS device, and headphones were taken from an auto parked at a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Theft: A woman’s engagement ring was reported stolen at a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Theft: An unidentified male suspect took an unknown amount of groceries at Save-A-Lot, 1715 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A DeWalt drill and Ryobi nailgun were reported stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Police arrested Stone Crank,18, of Florence Avenue, Youngstown on a charges of theft. Police accused him of stealing $44.35 in merchandise from Walmart.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported at a home in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Tools were stolen from the bed of a pickup truck at Los Gallos, 920 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

May 1

Theft: A total of $540 was stolen by an 8-year-old boy from a home in the 60 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: Text threats were made at Deer Creek Apartments, 4415 Kirk Road.

May 2

Theft: A wallet was taken and credit cards in it were used to make purchases at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Medical/benefits were used fraudulently at a home in the 3000 block of Riblett Road.

Theft: Police arrested Timothy McGowan, 28, of Bedford Road, Masury, on a charge of complicity to theft, and issued a summons to Kala Cheza, 21, of West Lincoln Avenue, Masury, on a charge of shoplifting in the township.

Theft: Money was taken from an account at a home in the 400 block of Southward Drive.

Theft: A theft was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Jayquawn Manigault, 21, of East Avondale Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of for possession of marijuana and criminal trespassing, and Tanya Manigault, 38, also of East Avondale, on a charge of criminal trespassing at Walmart.

Telecommunications harassment: The crime was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Nashua Drive.

Theft: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Animal complaint: Police issued a summons to Melissa Paterchak, 48, of South Raccoon Road, on an animal complaint.

May 3

Theft: Police issued a summons to Chloe Frederick, 18, of Kirk Road, on a charge of theft. Police accused her of taking merchandise from the Sheetz gas station.

Drug offense: Police issued summons to Anwar Mayes, 24, of North Navarre Avenue, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Peter Larkin, 54, of Westhampton Drive, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Theft: Socks, underwear and towels were stolen from Dollar General, 1753 S. Raccoon Road.

May 3

Breaking and entering: A mower was stolen from a shed at a home in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Dakota Djubek, 18, of Frederick Street, on charges of was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.

May 4

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Bryan Berquest, 27, of Cumberland Drive, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Criminal trespass: Police issued a summons to Anthony Seidita, 18, of South DeHoff Drive, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: A lawn tractor and scrap were stolen from a yard in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Anthony Bodnar, 28, of Jonathan Lane, on a charge of shoplifting. Police accused him of taking four Xbox games from Walmart.

Unauthorized use: Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported at a home in the 20 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Burglary: An HP laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 40 block of Atlanta Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: Phone threats were reported at a home in the 4000 block of Pine Trace Drive.

Theft: Beer and dog feed were stolen from the Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
