Michael and JoEllen Hallos of Berlin Center are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Hallos of Rocky River, Ohio, and Mark Loan of Elyria, Ohio. Michael and Laura Loan of Elyria are the parents of the future groom.

An open wedding is planned for 2:30 p.m. June 28 at St. James Church in North Jackson. Invitations will be issued for a reception to follow at Youngstown Country Club.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University. She also earned a master of taxation and juris doctor degrees from the University of Akron. She is an attorney and certified public accountant for Walter Haverfield LLP in Cleveland.

Her fiancé is a graduate of the University of Toledo, where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering technology. He is a network administrator for Sprenger Health Care Systems in Lorain, Ohio.
