Comedian Louis C.K.’s acclaimed sitcom “Louie” returns tonight to FX after being on hiatus for more than a year and a half. Here are five other Louies we’ve enjoyed on TV over the years:

v Dr. Louie Lundgren (Louie Anderson, “The Louie Show”): A good-hearted psychotherapist living in Duluth, Minn.; the main character in this short-lived comedy.

v Louie the Lilac (Milton Berle, “Batman”): One of the Caped Crusader’s least-remembered nemeses wore a violet-colored suit and used all manner of poison flowers to disarm his foes.

v Louie DePalma (Danny DeVito, “Taxi”): The pint-size tyrant/dispatcher made life miserable for the drivers at Sunshine Cab Company.

v Louie Wilson (Scatman Crothers, “Chico and the Man”): The garbage man and pal of “The Man” (Jack Albertson).

v Lt. Louie Provenza (G.W. Bailey, “The Closer” and its spinoff, “Major Crimes”): Gruff veteran LAPD lieutenant whose first name wasn’t revealed until Season 5 of “The Closer.”

“A Fragile Trust: PLAGIARISM, POWER AND JAYSON BLAIR AT THE NEW YORK TIMES” (10 P.M., PBS): The latest installment of the “Independent Lens” series. It’s a portrait of the most-infamous serial plagiarist of our time and a look back at the scandal that rocked not only the Times, but all of journalism.

“Bates Motel” (10 p.m., A & E): In the creepy season finale, Norman (Freddie Highmore) is haunted by his past. Hate to tell the poor boy, but his future also is pretty bloody awful.

“Louie” (10 p.m., FX): Louis C.K., the man GQ magazine recently declared to be “America’s undisputed king of comedy,” returns with back-to-back new episodes. Lots of laughs — and some raunchiness — are guaranteed.

“24, Live Another Day” (7 p.m., Fox): Kiefer Sutherland is back as Jack Bauer, a fugitive federal agent who returns to fighting terrorism after his touchy-feely, less- violent other Fox series is canceled.

“The Tomorrow People” (8 p.m., CW): As the first season ends, it seems increasingly unlikely that there will be a tomorrow for these people.

Fundraiser planned for mobile meals

Trumbull Mobile Meals will sponsor a fundraiser at 7 p.m. May 14 at TNT Playhouse in Niles.

“100 Lunches, a Gourmet Comedy,” will be presented. There will be wine and hors d’oeuvres, a 50/50 raffle and prizes.
