SENIOR CITIZENS

AARP Chapter 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. May 13 at the Saxon Club on Meridian Road. The cost is $13, and reservations are due by Saturday to Pat Miller, 330-799-2635. Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave. Guests are welcome.

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will be available from noon to 12:45. Entertainment will be provided by the Canfield Middle School Band. Bus trips planned are May 20, a “Mystery Trip,” call for availability 330-533-4413. June 21 will be the “Oakridge Boys in Concert” and a meal at Hartville Kitchen, call 330-332-4791. July 17 and 18 will be an overnight trip to Dayton to the Dayton Air Force Museum including entertainment at Schmidt’s German Village plus a guided tour of Columbus and German Village; call 330-332-4791. August 24 trip is planned for Mentor Performing Arts to view the “Shoji Tabushi Show” from Branson Missouri; call 330-337-7133. A board meeting will take place at 10 a.m. May 19 at the church. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet May 14 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. Social hour will begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:45. Linda Vuletich will preside. The program will include a memoriam by Sally Winsen and a remembrance by Martha Lopez in recognition of all members 90 years old and older. Senator Joe Schiavone will talk about Schools in Ohio. Community service donations will be taken for Sojourner House including toys, diapers, wipes, clothes, formula, baby food, shampoo, lotions, towels, bibs and blankets. Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10, will have its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Brandywine Clubhouse, 3390 Flo Lor Drive, Youngstown. Refreshments will be provided.

SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road, Canfield. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.

Saxon Retirees will meet at noon Thursday at the club ballroom on Meridian Road in Austintown. The cost of the baked chicken dinner is $10; reservations or cancellations are due this evening by calling 234-421-5116.

St. Charles Over-55 Club will have its annual May luncheon at noon May 13 at Father Haidet Social Hall. The cost of the catered party is $9; guests are welcome. St. Joseph Goldenagers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Lyons Hall with Evelyn Menaldi presiding. Carol McClain will give the thought for the day, and business reports will be given. Birthdays and anniversaries will be honored, and get-well cards will be sent. Cards will be played, and there will be a 50-50 raffle. Members are asked to take a sack lunch. Refreshments will be served. Members are asked to pay their $5 dues.

Youngstown State University Retirees’ monthly breakfast will take place at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.
