A Trumbull County grand jury indicted Chad Summers, 39, of Freeman Street, Warren, on charges that he broke into a mobile home on Shady Lane Circle Northeast in Howland early March 11 and threatened a woman and her daughter with two kitchen knives.

Summers was indicted this week on two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated burglary.

When police arrived after midnight, the door to the trailer burst open, and the women ran out with Summers behind them. Police took him into custody.

The women said Summers, who had been in a relationship with the mother until recently, broke into the home while they were watching television, took two knives from the kitchen and threatened to kill himself.

Later, he held one knife to the older woman’s abdomen and one to her neck and told her daughter, “You’re going to watch your mother die,” police said.

If convicted, Summers could get 60 years in prison.

The grand jury indicted Joseph Danko, 21, who listed addresses on North Whitney Avenue, Youngstown, and Vine Avenue, Warren, on one count of felonious assault and one count of child endangering as a result of injuries to a 2-month-old boy whose address was on Lane Drive Southwest.

The boy was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley in Boardman on March 22, and the child’s mother reported an assault to police. If convicted, Danko could get 16 years in prison.

The grand jury also indicted Brandon Cox, 18, who listed addresses on Brier Street Southeast and Dover Street Southwest, both in Warren, on aggravated robbery for purportedly using a gun to rob the Arby’s Restaurant on West Market Street on March 19. He was captured nearby. If he’s convicted, Cox could get 10 years in prison.
