FARRELL, PA.
Presiding prelate Bishop Lillie B. North, chief executive officer of Interdenominational Clergy Women’s Alliance, has designated Bishop Martha J. Sanders to the office of prelate bishop.
Bishop Sanders, pastor of Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle Inc., will receive the title during a service at 5 p.m. Sunday at her church, 1126 Fruit Ave.
Bishop designate, the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Paramore, pastor of Christ Centered Church in Youngstown and Akron, will be guest speaker.
Bishop Sanders was selected to serve as presiding prelate at the close of the tenure of Bishop North.
Members of Youngstown, Akron and Shenango Valley chapters will participate.
Bishop Sanders is a charter member of the alliance founded in 1980 by Bishop North. She has served as second executive vice president for 34 years.
She established the Shenango Valley chapter and is president.
Chancellor named
YOUNGSTOWN
Bishop George V. Murry of the Diocese of Youngstown has appointed Monsignor John A. Zuraw as chancellor of the diocese, effective July 1.
Nancy Yuhasz, chancellor since 1996, is retiring.
Monsignor Zuraw was ordained June 20, 1987, after seminary studies at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati. He has served as associate pastor at St. Louis Parish in Louisville and St. Rose Parish in Girard, where he currently is pastor. He also was administrator of Immaculate Conception Parish.
Monsignor Zuraw previously served as executive director of clergy and religious services, vocation director and vicar for administration of the diocese. He is director of the Permanent Diaconate program.
He was named Chaplain of His Holiness (monsignor) in 1997.
He earned a Licentiate in Canon Law from Catholic University of America in 1999.
Pastor retiring
STRUTHERS
The congregation of Faith Fellowship Church of God will honor Pastor Arlie Dorman, who served for nearly 33 years.
Speaker for the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday will be Dr. Jack G. Bridges, representative for the Retired Church of God Ministers in Ohio.
The retirement dinner honoring the pastor and his wife, Annette, will take place at 5 p.m. at High Pointe Assembly, 5716 Struthers Road, Lowellville.
Pastor Dorman has supported Teen Challenge and Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, Recovery program and Joshua Care Depot, a summer program for children, and monthly food distribution.

Apostolic Faith Temple, 109 W. Woodland Ave., will mark its 55th anniversary during a gathering at 4 p.m. today.
Speaker will be Elder James Earl Hawkins of Indianapolis.
Bishop Ernest B. Hawkins and church family are hosts.

Covenant Life Fellowship, 5900 W. Liberty St., will host evangelist Jason Jablonski at services at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
