Youngstown Rotary hosting district conference
YOUNGSTOWN — The Rotary Club of Youngstown is the host of the annual district conference for 47 Rotary clubs.
The conference began today at Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.
Mayor John A. McNally and Youngstown Rotary President Scott Schulick gave welcoming remarks, and Karen Swaim Babin, Rotary International’s president’s representative, gave the keynote speech at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center at the gardens.
Rotary’s District 6650 conference was set for this evening with a reception at OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St.
Rotary youth exchange students were scheduled to showcase their projects during a session Saturday at Youngstown State University.
Youngstown Rotary is hosting the conference on the eve of the club’s centennial observance in 2015.
