Rotary Club of Youngstown hosts district conference

YOUNGSTOWN

The Rotary Club of Youngstown will be the host of a three-day annual district conference for 47 Rotary clubs beginning at noon today at Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Mayor John A. McNally and Youngstown Rotary President Scott Schulick will give welcoming remarks, and Karen Swaim Babin, Rotary International’s president’s representative, will give the keynote speech at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education & Visitor Center at the gardens.

Rotary’s District 6650 conference continues with a reception this evening at OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St.

Rotary youth exchange students will showcase their projects during a Saturday session at Youngstown State University.

Youngstown Rotary is the host of the conference on the eve of the club’s centennial observance in 2015.
