Struthers Rotary Community Corps plans first major fundraiser

STRUTHERS — The Struthers Rotary Community Corps will discuss its first major fundraiser — the Taste of Struthers event — at Thursday's meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m. at city hall, 6 Elm St. All are welcome to attend.

The community corps is made up of non-Rotarian men and women who find and solve issues affecting the areas in which they work or live.

All proceeds from the Taste of Struthers event — scheduled for May 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. at St. Nicholas Great Hall, 764 Fifth St. here — will go toward community projects.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $10, and must be purchased in advance. In addition to samples of food and desserts from businesses around the city, a cash bar will be available. A 50/50 raffle is also planned.
