Dalton Donachie pitched a no-hitter with 19 strikeouts and four walks and got the Tigers’ only hit, an RBI single in the third inning to score Hunter Snyder, who walked. Springfield (17-1) improved to 9-0 in Tier One of the Inter Tri-County League. Jagr Groubert got the loss for Lisbon, striking out two and walking four.
Lowellville 5, McDonald 4
STRUTHERS
Vince Hynes had two RBIs for Lowellville, which scored in the bottom of the seventh to win. Tyler Rotz got the win in relief after Joey Coppola went the first 6 1/3 innings. Cameron Ifft had a two-run homer for McDonald.
Poland 12, Edgewood 0, 5 innings
STRUTHERS
Senior Pat Carlozzi threw a no-hitter for Poland (12-3). Dom Lipari added three hits and two RBIs, while Anthony Calcagni had two hits and two RBIs and Ricky Svetlak and Corey Svatosky each had two hits.
Struthers 10, Hubbard 3
STRUTHERS
Gary Muntean (3-2) pitched three innings of no-hit relief to get the win for Struthers (6-6). Muntean also doubled, Pat Carano had three hits, including a double, with two RBIs and three runs, John Medvec tripled and Dan DiLoreto had two hits, a run and an RBI. Drew Benetic doubled for Hubbard.
West Branch 8, Minerva 3
BELOIT
Ryan Adams had four hits and Jerian Thomas doubled and drove in four runs for the Warriors (9-6, 7-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Minerva is 10-6, 5-4.
