Bond was set at $150,000 Thursday in Warren Municipal Court for Raphael J. Napolitan, 21, of Kiawatha Road, Youngstown, charged with the Wednesday evening armed robbery of Candy Corner LLC, 2226 Niles Road SE. A not-guilty plea was entered for him.

The store’s manager said a man entered the store at 5:51 p.m. with a black bandanna over his face. The manager told him to remove the bandanna while in the store, but the suspect said, “I’m sorry, bro,” and pointed a gun at him and told him to give him the cash from the register.

After getting the money, the robber ran toward Burton Street and got into a red Chevy pickup truck and drove away. Police located a red Chevy pickup truck parked in front of 2019 N. Feederle. An officer then saw Napolitan, who matched the suspect’s description, walking nearby and arrested him.
