Homicide suspected in Ohio firefighter's death
CLEVELAND (AP) — The death of an off-duty Ohio firefighter involved in a traffic crash is being called a homicide.
The Cuyahoga County coroner said today that 58-year-old Theodore Wright suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm that caused internal injuries.
Police said Wright, of North Royalton, died after his truck crashed into a utility pole on Cleveland’s east side early Thursday. He was driving west when he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Police said the truck overturned, and he died at the scene.
The Northeast Ohio Media Group reports that Wright was a 32-year veteran Cleveland firefighter who is survived by his wife and three children.
