E. Palestine library seeking applicants for digital-literacy training program

EAST PALESTINE

East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N. Market St., has been selected as one of 30 libraries in Ohio to participate in the Guiding Ohio Online program.

Guiding Ohio Online is a new AmeriCorps program looking for flexible, caring individuals committed to community service to deliver digital-literacy training through computer classes, one-on-one computer assistance, outreach and volunteer recruitment in rural Ohio libraries.

The East Palestine Library is taking applications for a part-time, 11-month position that will focus on improving the digital-literacy skills of the community. A description and requirements of the position can be obtained at the library during regular business hours, on the library’s website at www.east-palestine.lib.oh.us, or on the Guiding Ohio Online website at guidingohioonline.org.
