Warren man indicted for holding two women at knifepoint
WARREN — A Trumbull County grand jury indicted Chad Summers, 39, of Freeman Street, Warren, on charges that he broke into a mobile home on Shady Lane Circle Northeast in Howland and threatened a woman and her daughter with two kitchen knives early March 11.
Summers was indicted on two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated robbery.
When police arrived after midnight, the door to the trailer burst open, and the women ran out with Summers behind them. Police took him into custody.
The women said Summers, who had been in a relationship with the mother until recently, broke into the home while they were watching television, took two knives from the kitchen and threatened to kill himself.
Later, he held one knife to the older woman’s abdomen and one to her neck and told her daughter “you’re going to watch your mother die,” police said.
If convicted, Summers could get 60 years in prison.
