Investigation underway on Pa. girl, 4, who fell from window

CARBONDALE, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 4-year-old girl was seriously injured after falling from a third-floor window of an apartment in Carbondale.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reported the child was hospitalized after the Wednesday afternoon incident.

Police tell the paper the building manager called 911 to report the fall, and they’re investigating how it occurred.

A prosecutor says the child’s mother could face charges.

The local child welfare agency also is looking into the matter.
