Benefit concert is set for homeless

YOUNGSTOWN

A benefit concert will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave.

It is planned by Marcus Boyd and Martina Montgomery.

They request that those who attend take canned food items, hygiene products or toiletries that will be donated to the Rescue Mission in Youngstown.

Sponsors include Mayor John McNally and his office, Janet Tarpley and some city council members, Guy Burney, Save-A-Lot Foods, Barry Dyngles Restaurant, Talmer Bank, Belleria, In the Cut barber shop, Dynasty Hair Salon, D5 Group/Red Karma and others.
