NAACP schedules scholarship luncheon

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Chapter of the NAACP will host its annual scholarship luncheon at 11 a.m. May 3 at Third Baptist Church, 1177 Park Hill Drive.

The theme will be “Freedom Under Fire,” and the speaker will be the Rev. William J. Blake, YSU director of student diversity programs and pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Dennison, Ohio.

Tickets cost $20 per person and may be bought by contacting any NAACP committee member.

Donations will be accepted and can be mailed to P.O. Box 6103, Youngstown, OH 44501.
