“HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER” SERIES FINALE (8 p.m., CBS): OK, so it wasn’t always “legendary,” to use someone’s favorite word. But over nine seasons, “HIMYM” amused us, and moved us, and provided us with all kinds of silly catchphrases. Now, the gang suits up for its hourlong season finale and, if all goes well, Barney and Robin (Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders) will get hitched and Ted (Josh Radnor) will finally meet his one true love (Cristin Milioti). “Friends With Better Lives” (9 p.m., CBS): How do you replace “HIMYM”? Just bring on another sitcom about young, attractive white people searching for love and happiness, and call it “Friends With Better Lives.” The cast includes James Van Der Beek and Kevin Connolly.

“House of Food” (10 p.m., MTV): Think of “House of Food” as a blend of “Top Chef” and “The Real World.” It’s a culinary competition that has eight untrained young cooks living together in a house and vying for the chance to apprentice with some master chefs.

Stambaugh Chorus in spring concert

WARREN

The Stambaugh Chorus’ spring concert, “Hope for Resolution,” will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road. A free-will offering will be accepted as admission. The program will include a range of sacred and secular music on the theme of peace and global conflict resolution, including a work that was composed for the release of the late Nelson Mandela from prison.

Jazz festival set at Packard Hall

The Big Band Jazz Festival will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Packard Music Hall, featuring the Big Band Sound of Packard. Also performing will be jazz ensembles from South Range, Warren Harding, Boardman and Springfield high schools. Admission is free.

Boardman High to present ‘Tarzan’

The Boardman High School Drama Guild will present “Tarzan,” a Disney classic, in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday.
