String of Pearls of the Red Hat Society will host its eighth annual International Red Hat Day Luncheon at 10 a.m. April 9 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel social hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel.

The event theme is a luau, and Calypso Gypsies will entertain. There will be vendors, a 50-50 raffle, basket auction and door prizes, and each lady will receive a lei.

Tickets are $30 per person, and reservations are required by April 1 to Erma Hart at 330-759-9331. Tables can be reserved for groups of eight.

The Red Hat Society is a global society of women that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness.

The International Society is dedicated to reshaping the way women are viewed in today’s culture.
