Help Hotline gets $1,000 grant

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office awarded one of 10 $1,000 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Mini Grants to the Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. on behalf of the VIP Family Violence Prevention Coalition.

The coalition is committed to ending workplace and domestic violence and is presenting three community forums during National Crime Victim’s Rights Week. The events are free.

The topics, days, times and places of the free events are:

“Workplace Violence,” 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., April 7, Columbiana Public Library, 322 N. Middle St., Columbiana.

“Domestic Violence and the LGBTQI [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and intersex] Community,” 7 to 8 p.m., April 8, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown.

“Abuse in Later Life,” 2 to 3 p.m., April 8, Area Agency on Aging 11, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Suite 2685, Niles.
