Chamber to host breakfast event

CANFIELD

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host the Good Morning, Canfield Breakfast on Friday, honoring two Canfield community and business leaders at Brooks Hall in the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palymra Road.

The 9th Canfield Area Council Business Pride Award will go to Johnson & Johnson, a Canfield law firm founded in 1921, honoring its ethical, moral and professional standards in the workplace and its impact on local economic development.

The 4th Spirit of Canfield Award will posthumously honor James Centofanti, a World War II veteran, business owner and longtime member of the Farmers National Bank board of directors, for his overall contributions to the city and township.

The event is sponsored by Farmers National. The cost is $20 for chamber members; $30 for nonmembers.

Klacik reports $15.9M in 2013 transactions

Charley’s Philly Steaks joins mall

Charley’s Philly Steaks is set to open in the Eastwood Mall food court early next month.

Founded in 1986, Charley’s has expanded from its first shop in Columbus to more than 500 locations in 48 states and 20 countries, serving a variety of cheese steaks and gourmet fries. The Eastwood Mall is located at 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road.

Workplace-violence forum is scheduled

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Workplace Violence Community Forum from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. April 7 at the Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Middle St.

Dottie Kane, VIP Family Violence Prevention Coalition coordinator, organized the event, which will feature four speakers. To reserve a seat for the free event, call the chamber office at 330-482-3822.

Opening weekend

HUBBARD

The new Tommy’s Jerky Outlet, at 1482 W. Liberty St., will wrap up its opening weekend today by raffling off a $2,500 fishing trip on Lake Mosquito.

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Normal business hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
