YMHA contract awarded to Prout

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority commissioners approved a $256,600 contract Friday with Prout Boiler, Heating and Welding Inc., of Youngstown, for chiller replacement at Amedia Plaza, 131 W. Boardman St., a 13-story apartment complex for elderly and disabled people, where the authority has its headquarters.

Prout was the lowest of four bidders.

Last month, the commissioners hired VIP Restoration Inc., of Cleveland, for $964,326 to restore the facade of Amedia Plaza, which is the century-old former Pick-Ohio Hotel.
