American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. April 5 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. After a continental breakfast and business meeting, Dr. Sherri Harper Woods, director of Upward Bound and SCOPE at Youngstown State University, will speak about a new program for breaking the poverty cycle. Warren Women’s Connection is sponsoring a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 14 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The speaker will be Linda Kristophel, whose topic will be “You Are Beautiful Like a Diamond; Our Lives Have Many Beautiful Facets.” Musical entertainment will be by Rachelle Joy, and the Simpson Gallery will be featured.
