Youngstown man dies in Mahoning County fire

AKRON — The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and Milton Township police are investigating the death of a man at the Green Acres Lake Park Resort in Mahoning County.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, Jon Blystone of Youngstown was painting a bathroom at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday and had a space heater inside for warmth, authorities said. He was seen leaving the bathroom while it was on fire. He was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital where he died at 4:26 a.m. today. An autopsy is planned.
