YOUNGSTOWN

Alpha Psi Omega national theater honor society will present “Crazy Like Love: An Evening of Two One-Act Plays” Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Spotlight Arena Theater, inside Bliss Hall, which is on Wick Avenue on the Youngstown State University campus.

“Gendermat” by Mark Dunn and “The New Mrs. Jones” by James Armstrong will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The plays contain adult themes and language and may not be suitable for children.

Each one-act play has the same cast: Lee Beitzel, John Cruz, Theresa Leonard and Cameron Beebe.

In “Gendermat,” directed by Joseph Alvey, characters meet in the basement laundry room of an apartment building. The four actors step in and out of roles to create the story of four breakups.

In “The New Mrs. Jones,” directed by Brittney Symone Grant, a man has met the woman of his dreams, but before they can live happily ever after, he will have to get her to survive a dinner party with his mother.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased by calling the University Theater box office at 330-941-3105. Season-ticket coupons will be honored. All seating is general admission.
