Ohio man sentenced in child-porn case

CINCINNATI (AP) — An Ohio man has been sentenced to five years in prison for distributing child pornography through a peer-to-peer file sharing program on the Internet.

Federal authorities say Christopher McGlown Jr., 27, of West Chester, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati.

Prosecutors say McGlown pleaded guilty in November 2013 to one count of distribution of child pornography. Court documents say an FBI agent patrolling the Internet in August 2012 downloaded images and videos of child pornography from an IP address assigned to McGlown. Agents also found file-sharing software on a computer at McGlown’s house.

Investigators say McGlown had more than 600 images of child pornography.

McGlown must register as a sex offender while under 20 years of court supervision.

McGlown’s attorney said he thought the sentence was fair.
