Boardman police charge woman after outbursts at mall
BOARDMAN
Boardman police arrested a New Middletown woman after she was accused of
failing to pay a bill at a mall restaurant and a salon.
Amy Wydick, 44, of Columbiana Road is charged with intimidation, a felony in
the third degree; theft; obstructing official business; resisting arrest;
disorderly cease and desist; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police were called about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for an intoxicated female.
Southern Park Mall security told police Wydick walked out on her $4 bill at
Buffalo Wild Wings and then became belligerent so she was restrained by
security.
She continually screamed obscenities, according to a police report.
Wydick was in a salon in the mall getting her hair dyed while police were
talking to her.
During the time while police were trying to settle the issue, Wydick
physically threatened the officer talking to her and called him names.
She made "a blatant attempt to intimidate" the police officer, the police
report says.
Wydick was also unable to pay the salon for $150 in hair services.
The salon wished to press charges, but the restaurant did not.
Police found a straw with residue inside Wydick's purse.
