Warren man killed

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canfield Post is investigating a one-vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a Warren man.
The crash occurred at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday on the Interstate 80 westbound entrance ramp from state Route 46 in the township.
Angelo S. Tabachino, 24, of Warren, was operating a pickup truck at the time of the accident.
According to the patrol report, Tabachino was westbound on the I-80 entrance ramp from Route 46 when he drove off the right side of the roadway struck a guardrail and overturned onto the roof.
He was partially ejected from the vehicle. Patrol officials said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
Tabachino was pronounced dead at the scene. His blood has been sent to be tested for alcohol consumption, patrol officials said.
Spring meeting

Mahoning County Board of Elections will have a spring meeting of the District 9 Boards of Elections on Friday at the Mahoning County Board of Elections, Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oak Hill Ave. Ohio Secretary of State officials will arrive at 9 a.m., and the meeting will be from 9:30 to 2:30 p.m.
A panel discussion of voting machines, new Ohio voting laws and board administration will include these presenters: Matt Damshroder, deputy assistant Ohio Secretary of State and elections director; Matt Masterson, deputy chief of staff; and Laura Pietenpol, deputy elections administrator from the secretary of state’s office. Joyce Kale-Pesta, county elections board director, and deputy director Thomas P. McCabe are also presenters.
Probe continues

Township police continue looking for leads into who took several electronic devices from a Raccoon Road apartment over the weekend.
The resident reported to police that two flatscreen TVs, a laptop, a Sony PS3 and a Sony PS4 gaming systems were taken from the apartment at 9 p.m. Saturday.
