Ohio House OKs tax breaks for CNG vehicles

The Ohio House OK’d legislation Wednesday that would provide tax breaks for the purchase of vehicles that run on compressed natural gas.

House Bill 336, which passed on a vote of 89-0 and heads to the Ohio Senate for further consideration, could prompt local governments, businesses and consumers to buy new vehicles or convert existing fleets to tap fuels being produce in eastern Ohio’s emerging shale oil fields.
