Niles massage parlor owner arrested on warrant

Chong S. Williams, 70, owner of Suzi Kim’s massage parlor in Niles, is in Trumbull County jail after Judge Peter Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court issued a warrant for her arrest last month.

The warrant was issued because Williams didn’t appear for court hearings regarding the two bribery charges she faces for purportedly trying to bribe an inspector with the Niles Fire Department.

Court officials said they had been advised Williams was in Korea, but she was arrested when she got off a plane recently at Pittsburgh International Airport and was brought to the jail Monday.

She is scheduled to have an arraignment hearing before Judge Kontos Monday and will remain in the jail until then.

Niles officials said Williams offered the bribe in July in hopes of getting the parlor back open after the city shut it down for having numerous zoning, fire, income-tax and health-department violations during a surprise inspection June 4, 2013.
