CAMPBELL

City police arrested four people on drug-related charges Monday after finding more than 4 grams of suspected marijuana during a traffic stop.

Charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia are Austin Tyler Beniston, 20, of Main Street, Niles; Alexander Rotz Shafer, 19, of Elm Street, Struthers; Kaitlyn N. Klacik, 20, of Deer Creek Drive, Struthers; and William Ciresi, 20, of Prospect Street, Struthers.

All four had their initial appearance Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court, and will be arraigned there on the charges they face at 9 a.m. Friday.

Police also cited Beniston, the driver, for failing to have his driver’s license and for having obstructed license plates.

Police stopped Beniston at 5:45 p.m. Monday on Wilson Avenue for having a dark-colored cover on his license plate, and immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car.

They later found 4.1 grams of suspected marijuana in the car, which they confiscated along with $50.
