Sex-slave survivor speaks Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel


YOUNGSTOWN — Theresa Flores, a human-trafficking survivor, speaker and writer, will share her story of being trafficked as a sex slave as an adolescent while living in an upper-middle class suburb of Detroit, during a dinner program from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave.

The event is hosted by Operation Keepsake Inc. to raise awareness of human trafficking and to underscore the vulnerability of our youth.
