Register soon for series involving business planning

YOUNGSTOWN

Small-business owners and entrepreneurs interested in signing up for a free business-planning series must do so by Wednesday.

The course is designed to help those starting food-and-farm-related businesses in Youngstown, and participants will finish with a business-plan outline and resources and opportunities to network and apply for financing.

The program is the result of a partnership between the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp., the Common Wealth Kitchen Incubator and Ohio State University Extension, Mahoning County.

Classes will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. every Thursday between this Thursday and May 8 at Iron Roots Urban Farm, 822 Billingsgate Ave.

Applications can be picked up at the YNDC offices at 820 Canfield Road, on the YNDC website at www.yndc.org or requested by phone at 330-480-0423.

New address, number for EDD in the city

YOUNGSTOWN

After relocating its headquarters earlier this month, the Economic Development Department of the Western Reserve Port Authority now has a new address and phone number in Youngstown.

The new offices, adjacent to Youngstown State University and downtown Youngstown, are located at 240 N. Champion St.

The new phone number is 234-228-9696, and the fax number is 234-228-9694.

Aerial yoga studio is first in Youngstown

Eos Whole Fitness and Bellidance is offering Aerial Yo, Youngstown’s first aerial yoga studio.

Aerial yoga is a form of inversion therapy that uses a silk hammock, suspended from the ceiling, to improve flexibility, joint mobility, strength and alignment.

Eos Whole Fitness and Bellidance is on the second floor of the Calvin Center at 755 Mahoning Ave.
