The Packard Music Hall Foundation has joined the Trumbull County Community Foundation, a part of The Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

PMHF is a separate entity from the Packard Music Hall and Park Board of Trustees.

The Trumbull County Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that specializes in philanthropic leadership for local institutions.

Examples of such institutions are the Animal Welfare League and Inspiring Minds, a Warren program that seeks to engage, inspire and empower youths to reach their full potential through education and exposure to life-changing experiences.

“This move will enable the Packard Music Hall Foundation to continue to meet all of our donors’ intent and fulfill the mission, which is to support the Packard Music Hall through fundraising, development, programming, community awareness, and educational outreach,” said Jim Fogarty, Packard Music Hall Foundation vice president.

Along with providing matching funds on certain capital-improvement projects to the music hall, such as the recently finished interior-painting project, PMHF also has brought in events at the hall, which have included the annual Ghost Walk, various children’s holiday concerts and theater training, the Chelsea Handler Comedy Tour, and Pittsburgh’s Good Brother Earl, said Fogarty, who also is president and creative director of 2 Ticks & The Dog Productions Inc.

With the support of the Trumbull County Community Foundation, donors still will be able to make tax-deductible contributions to PMHF, he said.
