Loved ones mark 1 year since Ohio woman's slaying

CLEVELAND (AP) — Family and friends are remembering a woman who was fatally stabbed in broad daylight on a downtown Cleveland street in a case that remains unsolved one year later.

Police said 53-year-old Aliza Sherman was stabbed 11 times outside her divorce attorney’s office on the afternoon of March 24, 2013. The Cleveland Clinic fertility nurse and mother of four still had her purse, and her SUV was parked nearby.

The only evidence was from a nearby surveillance camera that showed a person dressed in black running from the scene.

The group Justice for Aliza planned a memorial service today near where the crime occurred.

A reward is still being offered for information that could lead to solving the case.
