Youngstown shooting sends one to St. Elizabeth’s

Police are investigating a Friday night shooting that occurred on the 2300 block of Glenwood Avenue that left one man hospitalized with an apparent gunshot wound to the back of his head.

The condition of Bralin Allen, 25, of Youngstown is unknown.

Medical staff at St. Elizabeth Health Center recovered a bullet fragment from the back of Allen’s head, according to a police report.

A witness to the shooting who was with Allen at the time told police someone in a car fired multiple shots at their car, then drove off. The witness said six shots were fired.

Police arrived to the call at 11:59 p.m.

Four .40-caliber S&W shell casings and a bullet fragment were recovered from Sherwood Avenue. Another bullet fragment was located on Glenwood.

Allen told police he did not know who shot him.
