Ginny Jones has joined Real Living Volpini Realty Group as an agent. Jones, who has 20 years of experience in real estate, attended Youngstown State University for her real-estate training and received her license in 1993. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors.

HEALTH CARE

Douglas Bennett, Beth Massaro and Sandra Pollard have joined Gateway HealthSM as specialists in senior community affairs and program development in Northeast Ohio. Bennett, a Hampton University graduate, has 20 years of experience executing business plans and developing partnerships. Massaro is a Youngstown State University graduate with strong ties to physicians, social workers, senior centers and nursing homes. Pollard, a graduate of Ursuline College, has a background that includes experience in Medicare and commercial insurance sales.

Shepherd of the Valley employees this month named the employees of the year for each site. Jessica Hunt, a nurse’s aide was honored in Niles. Charles Mayfield, who is retiring at the end of April, was selected at the Boardman location. Rosemarie Beil, a full-time day-turn receptionist, was honored in Howland. In Poland, Marilyn Michalak, a residential assistant in the nursing department, won the honors. Michelle Benedict, an Austintown resident, was named the employee of the year at the corporate office.

INSURANCE

Katie L. Gething of Gibson Insurance Agency has earned the designation of certified professional insurance agent from the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society. Gething is director of marketing and agency development at Gibson.
