YSU LB Teven Williams no longer with team
Youngstown State senior linebacker Teven Williams is no longer with the team, a YSU spokesman confirmed, saying, "He made a decision. It wasn't a right decision. So he is no longer with us."
The decision is permanent and creates a big hole in the middle of YSU's defense.
Williams has 29 career starts, including all 11 last fall. He has led the team in tackles each of the last three years.
Cornerbacks DeVon McKoy and David Rivers have also left the team. McKoy, a transfer from Bowling Green, started the first four games of the season while Dale Peterman was injured and appeared in 10 of the team's 11 games. Rivers saw limited action as a backup.
YSU spring practice begins Saturday.
