Warren man charged with shooting at newspaper delivery pair

WARREN

A Trumbull County grand jury indicted Darren L. Lee, 27, of West Avenue Northwest on charges that could result in a prison sentence of 20 years for purportedly firing a weapon at people delivering newspapers.

Lee will be arraigned March 31 in common pleas court on two counts of felonious assault and single counts of heroin possession, cocaine possession, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Police said Lee fired shots at a 43-year-old man and his 18-year-old daughter on West Avenue at 6:35 a.m. Jan. 30 as they were delivering newspapers.
