Stand Against Racism event to screen Mulholland film
YOUNGSTOWN
The YWCA of Youngstown, 25 W. Rayen Ave., is hosting a Stand Against Racism event from 8:30 to 11 a.m. April 25 at Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley Center. Participation is free.
The event features screening of the movie, “An Ordinary Hero: The True Story of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland” followed by a discussion with Mulholland, whose civil-rights activities in the early 1960s as a white teen and young woman alienated her from her family and landed her in jail.
