PMS competes in junior high tournament


The Poland Middle School wrestling team competed in the Eastern Ohio Wrestling League Junior High Tournament at Liberty High School Feb. 7 and 8.

This event consisted of 20 teams from Northeast Ohio with sixteen weight classes being contested. Poland was represented by ten wrestlers, all which made it to day two competition. Those earning victories were Braden Olson, Jacob Blackburn, Owen Hernon, Kincaid Mrakovich, Anthony Riccottili, Austin Tusinac, Scott Campbell, John Miller, Joey Villani, and Tyler Campbell.

At the end of two days, four wrestlers earned spots on the medal podium. Those garnering placement in their respective weight classes were Braden Olson, sixth, Jacob Blackburn, sixth, Kincaid Mrakovich, fifth, and John Miller, fourth.

Kincaid Mrakovich became a two time EOWL placer for his efforts over the weekend by winning four of six matches.
