Maple Syrup Festival


Boardman Township Park is sponsoring the 37th Annual Maple Syrup Festival March 22, 23, 29 and 30 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The park staff will demonstrate how maple trees are tapped, sap collected and how the sap is boiled to make syrup. There will be maple syrup for sale.

You will have the opportunity to experience the life of Civil War troops as they perform a re-enactment, observe wood carvers, learn about Boardman’s history from the Boardman Historical Society and peruse the displays of the Water Color Society. Some of the art will be for sale. There will also be a wagon ride through the trails. Admission is free.

Boy Scout Troop #60 will be demonstrating their scouting skills. The parents are also having a basket raffle.

The Boardman Rotary Club will be having its annual pancake breakfast during this event. The cost of breakfast is $6.

Children ages six and under are free.
