Youngstown police arrest Sharon man on rape and kidnapping warrants

YOUNGSTOWN — A man police said was on his way to his job as a security guard just after 3 a.m. today was arrested on warrants for rape and kidnapping from Cuyahoga County.

Aaron Hockenberry, 33, of Sharon, Pa., was taken to the Mahoning County jail to await extradition after he was stopped at Lucius Avenue and Cottage Grove after an officer checked his vehicle registration and learned of the warrants, reports said.

Reports said Hockenberry also has a concealed weapon permit and had a 9mm Ruger semiautomatic handgun on him and two magazines with a total of 25 rounds. Police took his gun, reports said.
