Five NFL scouts attend YSU Pro Day

NFL scouts from the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers and New York Giants attended Youngstown State's annual Pro Day on Wednesday morning at the WATTS.

Quarterback Kurt Hess, cornerback Dale Peterman (Ursuline), punter Nick Liste (Niles), tight end Carson Sharbaugh and offensive linemen Chris Elkins and Kyle Bryant worked out for three hours, doing a variety of drills.

YSU had three players from last year's Pro Day sign with NFL teams: OL Lamar Mady (Raiders), RB Jamaine Cook (Browns) and TE Will Shaw (Steelers/Eagles). Mady spent the last 14 weeks on the Raiders' active roster while Cook finished the season on the Browns' practice squad.
