'Crawl for Cancer' event set April 4 in downtown

Youngstown State University’s American Society of Mechanical Engineers organization is hosting a “Crawl for Cancer” event set for 6 p.m. April 4 in downtown Youngstown.

Participating businesses in and near downtown in the “bar crawl” are Downtown Draught House, Imbibe Martini Bar, Inner Circle Pizza, Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, University Pizzeria & Italian Eatery, Warehouse 50, the Knox Building and O’Donold’s Downtown LLC, said Teresa McKinney, an ASME member.

Registration-fee proceeds are to benefit the Youngstown Relay for Life, she added.

Those interested in taking part can register now at www.booster.com/ysu_asme_crawl4cancer, and they will receive wristbands, purple T-shirts and access to food and drink specials.

Donations also can be made online, and ASME is to provide discounted taxi fares that evening, McKinney added.
