Youngstown murder suspect found guilty of domestic violence
YOUNGSTOWN — An 18-year-old arrested in December while on house arrest for a murder charge was convicted of domestic violence in Youngstown Municipal Court.
Kolante Carter, who was convicted by a jury after a one-day trial, was sentenced Monday to 180 days in jail, with 90 days suspended and given credit for the other 90 days he has served since his arrest in December.
The charge is a misdemeanor.
Carter is charged with the April 29 shooting death of Kristopher Stuart, 26, who was found by police with a revolver in both hands.
