Staff report

CANFIELD

Canfield and Boardman police, working with the Mahoning Valley Operating a Vehicle while Impaired Task Force, reported arrests for impaired driving over the holiday weekend.

Canfield police arrested Edward Noufer Jr., 49, of Woodhurst Drive in Austintown, Sunday on Idaho Road on a charge of OVI and given a citation for a traffic-control device.

Alexis Little, 19, of Sunnybrook Drive in Youngstown, was arrested Sunday on a charge of OVI and cited for marked lanes on East Main Street in Canfield. Two people riding in the car were charged with one count each of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia, both fourth-degree misdemeanors. They are Katrina Boyer, 19, of Hoyle Road, and Brittney Lude, 18, of Akron-Canfield Road, Ellsworth.

About 3:24 a.m. Sunday, Boardman police responded to a report of a car stuck on railroad tracks at Southern Boulevard near Romaine Avenue. An officer found a female with no shoes on trying to push the car off the tracks.

The officer noticed a bar’s bracelet on her wrist, later finding out she had used an older sister’s ID to get into the club, and could smell an alcoholic beverage on her breath, a report said. After performing three sobriety tests, police arrested Marina Neskovic, 19, of Vine Street in Girard, for failure to control, OVI, and OVI prohibited concentration.

Thomas Arnoto, 55 of Lincoln Avenue in Struthers, was arrested on charges of OVI and marked lanes. According to a police report, Boardman police saw a car weaving along the curb line and slowing down and speeding up about 9:16 p.m. Saturday. Arnoto eventually stopped for police in front of Boardman Middle School on Market Street. Arnoto’s brother was in the front seat and attempted to hide an open 24-ounce beer from police, who discovered it after becoming suspicious of his nervous behavior. Arnoto was given sobriety tests and arrested.
