“Marvel Studios: ASSEMBLING A UNIVERSE” (8 P.M., ABC): Calling all fanboys, and girls: “Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe” is a special that takes viewers behind the scenes and shows how the superhero sausage is made. Included: Sneak peeks at upcoming films.

Theater classes at the Playhouse

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Playhouse youth theater is offering two classes beginning March 22 and continuing for six consecutive Saturdays. To reserve a space in either class, call 330-788-8739 no later than Friday.

Dylan White will lead Introduction to Theater for students in grades 4-7. Designed for beginners, the class will cover the basics of auditioning, blocking, character interpretation and preparing scenes for performance. The 90-minute class begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $65.

Candace DiLullo will conduct Advanced Scene Study for students in grades 7-12. Designed for students who are ready for the next level of character development, the class will select and rehearse scenes from classic pieces. The 90-minute class will begin at noon. Cost is $65.

Two jazz combos at YSU’s Kilcawley

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University’s jazz studies program will present combos led by Dave Kana and Sam Blakeslee in The Hub, inside Kilcawley Center, at 7 p.m. Thursday. The concert will feature jazz standards, American Songbook standards and original music by YSU students Lauren Eisenreich and Clay Colley. Admission is free.

Guitar recital

Dana School of Music faculty member Francois Fowler will give a free guitar recital at 8 p.m. today in Bliss Recital Hall on the Youngstown State University campus, featuring classical and original compositions.
