Ex. Pa. jail guard gets probation in co-worker fondling

SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — The former chief guard at a western Pennsylvania county jail will serve two years’ probation in a first-offender’s program for charges that he made lewd remarks and fondled two female subordinates.

The Daily American of Somerset reports 45-year-old Ronald Lensbouer entered the program Monday. Under it, the charges indecent assault and harassment will be dismissed if he completes the probation, though his record cannot be expunged because of the nature of the offense.

Somerset County District Attorney Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser says the resolution was appropriate. One of the alleged victims has resigned, while another remains a guard at the lockup about 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Lensbouer was on unpaid leave after he was charged in June. He resigned last month.

Lensbouer did not plead guilty in entering the first-offender program.
