Loud exhaust leads to man’s arrest on drug charges in Campbell

CAMPBELL

A Youngstown man was arrested Friday on drug-related charges following a traffic stop initiated for having an extremely loud exhaust.

Joseph Emmanuel Guzman, 29, of East Dewey Avenue, faces charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for driving under suspension and for the loud muffler.

Police stopped Guzman shortly after 4 p.m. Friday on Park Avenue, and immediately noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car. They later found a marijuana cigarette on the rear passenger seat of the car.

Guzman is set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
